Cindy Glovinsky was born in Des Moines, Iowa in 1948, attended the Interlochen Arts Academy, Oberlin College, and the University of Michigan, and has worked as a clerk-typist, research secretary, administrative assistant, academic editor, clinical social worker, English instructor, professional organizer, and professional violinist. She has lived in Ann Arbor, Michigan since 1970. The Murmuring Door is her second published book of poems. She previously published Unclenching with Finishing Line Press (2023) and has also published three non-fiction books, a memoir about her Interlochen years called Music, Lakes, and Blue Corduroy, and poems and prose in numerous literary magazines.
