Wednesdae Reim Ifrach is an art therapist, counselor, researcher, and poet whose work bridges clinical practice with creative and community-based healing. Their interdisciplinary approach integrates art and poetry with somatic and therapeutic inquiry, centering gender-affirming care, LGBTQ+ issues, trauma, body image, and eating disorders.They are a faculty member in the School of Behavioral and Community Health at Moravian University and co-owner of Rainbow Recovery, providing counseling, art therapy, supervision, and training. Their commitment to collective healing is also reflected in contributions to survivor-led projects such as the Monument Quilt, now housed at the Baltimore Museum of Art, and MoMA’s Artful Practices for Well-Being series.Their scholarship includes peer-reviewed articles such as “Social Action Art Therapy as an Intervention for Compassion Fatigue” and “Inked Identity” (forthcoming in Human Arena). Their book, Queer Expressions: Expressive Art and Somatic Therapy Practices for Healing Body Trauma (North Atlantic Books, June 2026). Alongside academic work, Wednesdae’s art and poetry have been widely published and exhibited, inviting audiences into spaces of radical care, resilience, and creative possibility.
