Sheena Powell is a scientist by trade, a yoga teacher by heart, and a poet by nature — she is passionate about communicating truth. Sheena has been using poetry as a vehicle of understanding ever since she can remember. Her first collection of poems, Polyhymnia, was a finalist for the 2025 Finishing Line Press Chapbook Prize. Sheena and her devoted husband Jenko live a happy life in New Bern, North Carolina with their four cats and enjoy sailing on the Neuse River. Sheena is still looking for the answers, still dreaming.
