A Poem by Tamara Barnett-Herrin

A Missing Woman

….

Using the cheap hotel as a base,

we do sweeps. Grandma arrives,

received by my sister,

and my mother gets dizzy,

must sit on the unmade

bed. We call the chief.

The jacuzzi boils dry.

Who is missing? It’s me.
