imnaha river nocturne
astronomical dawn. a faint glow
in the east rises toward an embroidery
of stars laced with interstellar dust,
part of the cosmic web stitching together
the entire universe. jupiter hangs surreally
large above the horizon. stars stream
from my eyes for this beauty and magnificence,
for bedouin who always knew the heavens
and are losing sight of them,
for billions of people who have
never seen the milky way.
how will we find our way home?
