No, that’s wrong.
1998: 1 in 10,000 children have autism.
2024: 1 in 36 children have autism.
Strip the myths, like husks off
corn. To reach the kernels.
Crack the coconut
to reach the meat.
Light looks white––indisputable.
A prism frees the colors.
Broken bottles in the ocean
soften into sea glass.
Don’t worry, I tell myself. I still may have
the last word. The silenced often do.
