Remodeling My Heart
When I first met her,
my trust was still broken
from the last love—
cracks all over my heart.
Little by little,
she glued the cracks
and unscrewed my guard
that I put up every day.
Her words turned to bolts,
securing me in my life.
She drilled trust in me,
and I watched hurt blow
like sawdust in the wind.
