Hope, II
I want more for us than a gentle ending
I want us to go down laughing singing celebrating
with cake and top-shelf bourbon
fireworks over the Thames and Seine
confetti in Times Square
and when the dust settles
I hope the empty streets are painted
in all our favorite colors
